Sweet Sofie’s Cake is a small, independent bakery specializing in colourful, artistic baked goods. Sweet Sofie’s Cake asked me to create a logo that would suit their abstract brand image and help to promote the wide range of goods they offer. They shared with me that they were looking for an abstract painting of Sofie’s art pieces. She used to be a painter. I created icing brush stroke tiers cake in abstract way to illustrate the services, as well as be playful enough to appeal to their substantial and varied customer base. Also, the colour is pink ombre. The logo had to be recognizable enough to be used on packaging, business cards and social media, whilst being versatile enough to grow with the company as they expand.
